When a person is in cardiac arrest, their chances of survival, without defibrillation, reduce by 12% every minute. Clacksfirst BID has consulted with the Scottish Ambulance Service and has their full support for our project to locate Automated External Defibrillators (AED) throughout the BID area.

We are aware that some members already have a defibrillator on-site so, before we go any further with this project, it would be good to know which businesses or organisations already have one, this means that we can be more strategic when deciding where to locate the Clacksfirst BID AED’s.

The location of all AED’s should be given to the Scottish Ambulance Service to ensure that, when they receive a 999 call, they can inform of the closest AED.

If there is an AED at your site, please contact admin@clacksfirst.co.uk and, if it is not already registered with the Ambulance Service, we will include it when we are registering the BID AED’s. We request this is done as soon as possible.

The Scottish Ambulance Service will partner with the BID on this project by delivering life saving training, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to business owners and employee’s, there is no limit on numbers.

The BID would like to progress this project as soon as possible therefore, we ask that you provide the requested information as soon as possible.
